I test monitor arm with keyboard tray setups for tight spaces. This guide helps you stack a laptop keyboard under the screen to reclaim desk surface.
Evan's spec pass. This setup stacks the keyboard under the monitor to free up desk space for a laptop. It is ideal for small desks where surface area is limited.
The desk job here is simple: you need to stack the keyboard under the screen to free up surface space for a laptop. A monitor arm with keyboard tray handles this by lifting the display and tucking the input device below it.
Before you open the listing, check the product photo to see the tray attachment point and the arm's reach. You need to verify the tray slides out smoothly and that the arm supports the weight of your specific monitor and keyboard combo.

How Evan reads a spec sheet hiding in a title
If the title will not say USB 3, watts, or port count, it does not make my short list.
- Connector and speed are visible in the Amazon title.
- Photo is from that listing.
- No mystery ‘universal’ hub with no port list.
- Rating is public when Amazon shows one.
Open the listing and count ports before you buy. I do not run a silicon lab here.
