Smart Window Coverings: Box Contents and Shade Size

In the box

I check the fine print on smart window coverings so you know exactly what is in the box and the specific shade size named in the title before you order.

By Avery Quinn · Beauty, kids, and pets editor · Kids, pets, and skin · Gadget Evaluator Lab

Avery's caution. The box contains the motor, remote, and mounting hardware, while the title specifies the exact shade width and height. Recent reviews often mention the app pairing process as the main complaint.

I look at smart window coverings to see if the motor fits your window and if the app works without a hub. The title tells you the shade size, but the box contents vary by brand.

Check the product photo to see if the remote is included and if the mounting brackets are visible. The title should list the exact width and height of the shade you are buying.

Home Window Tint Film Heat Blocking, One Way Window Film 17.5"x…

Check the product photo for the specific texture and reflectivity of the film, as recent reviews often note that the adhesive can be tricky to apply smoothly. Look for any visible bubbles or peeling edges in the image to gauge the quality of the pre-cut material.

Privacy Window Film, Non Adhesive White Strips Window Sticker,Faux…

The title identifies this as a non-adhesive white strip window sticker that mimics the look of faux shutter blinds. It is a static cling product intended for home or office use, meaning it relies on surface tension rather than glue to stay in place.

In the product photo, verify that the white strips are uniform in width and that the static cling mechanism is clearly visible. Recent complaints often center on the film not staying up on textured glass, so look for a smooth, flat surface in the image to confirm compatibility.
