Evan's spec pass. Measure your existing caster stem in millimeters and note your floor type. Match the Amazon listing to those two specs before ordering.

Your chair feels heavy or drags because the casters are the wrong size for the stem or the wrong type for the floor. I focus on the physical fit: the stem measurement and the wheel material.

Look at the Amazon listing title and bullet points for the stem diameter in millimeters and whether the wheels are hard or soft. Do not guess based on the chair brand alone.

The title flags these as a universal replacement set, so your fit check is the stem diameter. Measure the existing stem on your chair to ensure it matches the standard size before ordering, as the listing does not specify a unique console or brand lock.

Skip this if your chair requires a specific proprietary stem or if you need a heavy-duty load rating beyond standard office use, since the title lacks wattage or weight capacity details that would confirm a heavy desk setup.

This listing highlights heavy-duty rubber construction for hardwood and carpet, so verify your floor type matches the 'roller blade' style description. Check the Amazon page for the specific stem size to confirm it fits your desk chair's universal socket.

Avoid this if you have a specific brand chair that requires a non-standard stem, as the title does not list compatibility with particular consoles or manufacturers like Herman Miller or Steelcase.

The title explicitly states these fit IKEA chairs only, with a 10mm (3/8" x 7/8") stem. Measure your existing stem to confirm it is exactly 10mm, as this is a brand-specific fit rather than a universal standard.

Do not buy this if you have a non-IKEA chair, as the 10mm stem will not match the standard 11mm or other proprietary sizes used by other desk chair manufacturers.

The title names compatibility with Herman Miller Aeron and Steelcase Leap chairs, using dual injection polyurethane. Check your chair model against this specific list, as these are not universal replacements but tailored for those consoles.

Skip this if you have a different brand chair, even if it looks similar, because the stem and socket design for Aeron and Leap models are distinct from generic office chair standards.

Skip this if you have a specific brand chair that requires a proprietary stem, or if you need a smaller wheel diameter that fits a low-clearance base, since the 3-inch size is a fixed dimension.

This listing features 3-inch heavy-duty rubber wheels for gaming and desk chairs. Check the Amazon page for the specific stem diameter to ensure it matches your chair's universal socket, as the title does not list a specific brand compatibility.

Do not buy this if your chair requires a non-standard stem size, or if you need a lighter weight option, since the heavy-duty designation implies a robust build that may not fit all desk chair bases.
