Toolwiz 36" Magnetic Sweeper with Wheels, 50 Lbs Capacity Quick…
Size and thread are on the Amazon title. Do not guess them from this page.
The Toolwiz unit is built around a 36-inch magnetic head with a 50-pound capacity, designed to roll across concrete without requiring you to bend down repeatedly. The quick-release mechanism allows you to swap out the magnet if it becomes overloaded with ferrous debris, which is critical when dealing with heavy iron filings from a lathe or grinder.
In the product photo, check the wheel assembly to ensure the tires are solid rubber rather than plastic, as hard wheels can crack on garage floors. Also verify that the handle attachment point is a metal bracket, since plastic joints often snap under the weight of a full 50-pound load of metal shavings.

HORUSDY 36-Inch Rolling Magnetic Sweeper with Wheels
Size and thread are on the Amazon title. Do not guess them from this page.
This HORUSDY model features a 36-inch sweeping width and a 55-pound capacity, paired with a 40-inch telescoping handle that adjusts to your height. The adjustable handle is a key feature for garage work, allowing you to maintain a neutral spine position while sweeping large areas of concrete where metal dust accumulates.
Look closely at the telescoping mechanism in the listing image to see if it uses a ratchet or a simple twist-lock. A ratchet system is more reliable for holding the extended length under the weight of the magnet, whereas a twist-lock can slip and cause the handle to collapse mid-sweep, dropping the heavy head onto your feet.

Heavy Duty 100lbs Magnetic Pickup Tool, Industrial Strength Magnet…
Size and thread are on the Amazon title. Do not guess them from this page.
This industrial-strength tool is rated for a 100-pound capacity, making it suitable for larger metal parts or dense accumulations of shavings that smaller sweepers cannot handle. The stainless steel handle is a specific material choice that resists the rust and corrosion common in damp garage environments, unlike standard steel or aluminum poles.
Examine the connection between the stainless steel handle and the magnet head in the photo. You want to see a robust, welded or bolted joint rather than a plastic connector. A plastic joint on a 100-pound capacity tool is a single point of failure that will likely break when you lift the full load off the floor.

Toolwiz Magnetic Pick Up Sweeper 17-inch Wide, 8.8 Lbs Magnet Pull…
Size and thread are on the Amazon title. Do not guess them from this page.
This Toolwiz sweeper is narrower at 17 inches wide, which is ideal for tight spaces between workbenches or under vehicles where a 36-inch head cannot fit. It offers an 8.8-pound magnet pull force, which is sufficient for small shavings and screws but may struggle with larger, heavier steel components.
In the photo, check the shape of the magnet head to see if it has a flat bottom or a beveled edge. A flat bottom is better for sweeping flat concrete, while a beveled edge can help guide debris into the magnet's field. Also verify that the handle is securely attached, as narrower heads often have smaller mounting points that can wobble under pressure.

Grip Telescopic Magnetic Floor Sweeper Pickup Tool – 35 lb…
Size and thread are on the Amazon title. Do not guess them from this page.
The Grip sweeper extends from 8 inches to 34 inches, offering a compact storage size that is useful for smaller garages or home workshops. It is rated for a 35-pound capacity, which is adequate for routine cleanup of small metal shavings, nails, and screws generated by light machining or assembly work.
Look at the telescoping section in the product image to determine if it is a single-stage or double-stage extension. A double-stage extension provides the full 34-inch reach, but you must ensure the locking mechanism is visible and robust. A weak lock on the second stage can cause the pole to retract unexpectedly when you apply downward pressure to lift the magnet.

Rubbermaid Commercial Products HYGEN Microfiber Mop Frame, Silver…
Size and thread are on the Amazon title. Do not guess them from this page.
This Rubbermaid Commercial Products frame is a 60-inch silver microfiber mop designed for general floor maintenance rather than magnetic pickup. It is suitable for sweeping up non-ferrous dust and debris that a magnetic sweeper would miss, such as wood dust or plastic shavings, which are common in mixed-material garages.
In the listing photo, inspect the frame's width and the attachment system for the microfiber pad. Ensure the pad clips are secure and that the frame is rated for the weight of a wet pad, as a 60-inch frame can become unwieldy if the pad is saturated. This tool complements a magnetic sweeper by handling the non-magnetic residue left behind.

Sweeper Mop System with 4 Reusable Microfiber Mop Pads
Size and thread are on the Amazon title. Do not guess them from this page.
This sweeper mop system comes with four reusable microfiber pads, providing a cost-effective alternative to disposable cleaning cloths. It is designed for dry sweeping and mopping, making it useful for removing fine dust and debris that settle on garage floors after metalworking sessions.
Check the photo to see the texture of the microfiber pads. You want a dense, plush texture that can trap fine dust without shedding fibers onto the concrete. Also verify that the mop head is flat and wide enough to cover a significant area in one pass, as narrow heads require more passes to clean a standard garage floor.

Swiffer Sweep + Mop, Dry Pads Refill, Floor Cleaner for Dirt…
Size and thread are on the Amazon title. Do not guess them from this page.
These Swiffer dry pads are designed for quick cleanup of dirt, dust, and hair in home environments, including bathrooms and kitchens. They are not intended for heavy industrial use but can be useful for a final pass over a garage floor to pick up fine dust that a broom or magnetic sweeper might leave behind.
In the product image, look at the pad's construction to see if it has a dual-sided design. A dual-sided pad offers more surface area for trapping dust, but you must ensure the adhesive backing is strong enough to hold the pad in place during vigorous sweeping. Weak adhesive can cause the pad to peel off the sweeper head mid-use, scattering the debris you just cleaned up.
