Priya's pack list. Look for a cover with secure straps to prevent it from blowing off during high-wind storms. The product photo shows the strap mechanism and fit.

When a storm hits, the last thing you need is a cover flying into the neighbor's yard. I focus on the strap security that keeps the cover in place during high winds.

Check the product photo for the strap placement and the overall fit. The visual confirms the secure attachment points before you read the specs.

Traeger Grills BAC475 Full-Length Grill Cover Grill Accessory…

This Traeger BAC475 is a full-length accessory designed specifically for Ranger and Scout models, meaning the dimensions are tailored to the vertical profile of those pellet grills rather than a generic box shape. When checking the listing photo, look closely at the bottom hem to see if there is a visible strap or bungee system, as a full-length cover on a tall unit like the Ranger is particularly susceptible to lifting in high winds if the base is not secured tightly to the frame.

Weber® Bonnet Cover for Q® 2800N Grills, Grill Cover

Photo from the Amazon listing. Open that page. Listed at $29.98 when this was filed.

The Weber Bonnet Cover is a specialized fit for the Q 2800N, focusing on the upper dome section rather than the entire unit, which changes how you assess wind resistance compared to a full-body wrap. In the product image, verify the attachment points on the sides of the bonnet; since this covers only the top, the risk of it blowing off is highest at the seam where it meets the lower body, so you need to see a clear mechanism that locks that junction in place.

Foldable Grill Cover for Pit Boss 820 Deluxe/Pro 850, Waterproof…

Designed for the Pit Boss 820 Deluxe and Pro 850, this cover uses 600D heavy-duty material that is advertised as fade and tear resistant, which is critical for the larger surface area of these 800-series smokers. Examine the photo for the foldable design's storage state and the securing straps; because this is a large, boxy unit, the wind catch area is significant, so you must see evidence of a robust strap system that can handle the tension of a gusty day without snapping or slipping off the corners.

Upgraded Foldable Griddle Cover for Blackstone 28 inch XL Two Side…

Photo from the Amazon listing. Open that page. Listed at $20.99 when this was filed.

This upgraded cover fits the Blackstone 28-inch XL with two side shelves, a configuration that adds considerable width and height to the profile, making it a prime target for wind lift. Look at the photo to identify how the cover secures around the side shelves; these protruding elements create turbulence that can peel the cover off from the sides, so you need to see straps or a design that specifically anchors around the shelf brackets rather than just the main griddle body.

Weber® Premium 22" Charcoal Grill Cover, Black

Photo from the Amazon listing. Open that page. Listed at $39.99 when this was filed.

The Weber Premium 22-inch charcoal grill cover is a compact, dome-shaped fit that is lighter in weight than larger gas units, which means it has less downward force to keep it in place during a storm. In the listing photo, check the bottom edge for a secure strap or a tight elastic fit; because the 22-inch model is smaller and often lighter, a loose cover can easily be lifted and torn off by a strong gust if the base isn't cinched tightly around the legs.

Char-Griller® Durable Polyester Grill and Smoker Cover with…

This Char-Griller cover is an extendable design measuring 46 inches in length and 23 inches in width, built with a PVC lining for waterproofing, which adds bulk and weight to the material. Look at the photo to see how the extendable section secures; the extra length creates a larger sail area for the wind, so you need to verify that the straps or fasteners are strong enough to hold the extended portion down without it flapping and eventually tearing loose.

Char-Griller® 3-Burner Dual Fuel Expandable Propane Gas and…

Photo from the Amazon listing. Open that page. Listed at $55.36 when this was filed.

Fitting a 3-burner dual fuel grill with dimensions of 29 inches by 65 inches by 49 inches, this Char-Griller cover is a large, expandable polyester unit that covers a significant volume of outdoor space. In the product image, focus on the top and side straps; a cover this size acts like a parachute in high winds, so you must see a multi-point securing system that can distribute the force of the wind across the entire frame to prevent it from blowing off entirely.

Kingkong 7105 Premium Grill Cover for Weber Spirit 210 Series Gas…

The Kingkong 7105 is a premium fit for the Weber Spirit 210 series, specifically designed for the collapsed state, which changes the shape of the grill it needs to protect. Check the photo for the strap placement on the collapsed unit; because the Spirit 210 is a mid-sized gas grill, the wind can catch the side panels easily, so you need to see a secure strap system that holds the cover tight to the folded legs and body to prevent it from lifting off during a storm.
