Evan's spec pass. This 65 percent hot swap keyboard fits tight desks by removing the numpad. It allows you to swap switches without soldering, saving you from buying a new board for every preference change.

I test keyboards for desk fit and modding ease, and this 65 percent hot swap keyboard hits the sweet spot for small setups. You get the full function row and arrow keys without the bulk of a tenkeyless board, leaving room for your mouse and monitor.

Look at the product photo to verify the compact 65% layout and check the case width. Ensure the listing title explicitly mentions hot swap capability so you know you can pull and replace switches without a soldering iron.

The XVX HE68 uses a CNC aluminum frame to keep the 60-percent footprint rigid while housing Hall Effect magnetic switches, which is the specific hardware needed to adjust actuation points without opening the case. The title confirms the presence of topographic IMD keycaps, a detail that matters for tactile feedback in a tight desk setup where you cannot rely on visual confirmation of key travel.

In the product photo, verify that the switch sockets are clearly visible or implied by the 'Hot Swap' claim in the broader listing context, as this is the critical component for solder-free maintenance. Look for the aluminum finish to ensure it matches your desk aesthetic, since the material is a primary selling point over plastic alternatives.
