Samir on the thread. This unit uses a hardwire kit to record during sleep. It protects against hit-and-runs in tight garages.
I park in a tight city garage where a fender-bender can happen while I am asleep. I need a dash cam with parking mode that keeps recording without draining my battery.
Look at the product photo for the hardwire kit and battery backup. Check that the listing shows the specific connection points for your car.

Size and thread are on the Amazon title. Do not guess them from this page.
Designed for Nextbase 122, 222, 322GW, 422GW, and 522GW models, this cable is the critical link that allows the dash cam to draw power from the vehicle's fuse box rather than the cigarette lighter.
Inspect the connector end in the listing image to ensure it matches the specific pinout of your Nextbase model, as a mismatch here prevents the parking mode from activating when the engine is off.
