For artists needing a medium drawing tablet that fits under a 24-inch monitor without a desk extension. I check the footprint before the pen.
Evan's spec pass. A 12-inch active area sits comfortably on a standard desk. It replaces a large tablet without requiring a dedicated extension.
I test drawing tablets against the monitor footprint, not just the pen pressure. A 12-inch medium drawing tablet is the size that fits under a 24-inch screen without pushing your keyboard off the edge.
Look for the active area dimensions in the product photo. The USB version and port count in the title tell you if you need a hub, which is critical for a tight desk setup.

How Evan reads a spec sheet hiding in a title
If the title will not say USB 3, watts, or port count, it does not make my short list.
- Connector and speed are visible in the Amazon title.
- Photo is from that listing.
- No mystery ‘universal’ hub with no port list.
- Rating is public when Amazon shows one.
Open the listing and count ports before you buy. I do not run a silicon lab here.

This listing focuses on the 3-layer palm rejection feature designed for iPad and drawing tablets, which is critical for keeping your hand from registering on the screen while you work. It is a standalone accessory rather than a full tablet unit.
In the product photo, look closely at the material texture to ensure the 3-layer weave is visible, as this determines how effectively it blocks palm touch without feeling bulky on your hand.

The title specifies this medium tablet includes a scroll wheel and 8 customized keys, which helps manage canvas navigation without moving your hand off the active drawing area. It also comes with an artist glove to prevent accidental touches.
Check the photo to see the physical placement of the scroll wheel and keys relative to the active drawing surface; if they are too close to the edge, they may interfere with your natural hand position during long sessions.

This version of the HUION Inspiroy 2 Medium includes an artist glove in the bundle, which is essential for palm rejection on the active surface. The title does not mention a scroll wheel or extra keys, suggesting a simpler interface.
Look at the photo to confirm the exact dimensions of the active area versus the total footprint; if the bezel is too large, it may not fit comfortably in a medium desk space without crowding your monitor.

This listing offers a two-pack of artist gloves for right and left hands, which is useful if you switch hands or need a backup. It is designed for iPad and sketching tablets to prevent smudging.

The title explicitly states the dimensions as 10.9" x 7.4", which is a specific medium size that fits within a standard monitor footprint without needing extra desk space. It is compatible with Chromebook and other platforms.
Check the photo to see the thickness of the tablet; if it is too thick, it may create an awkward angle when placed next to a monitor, affecting your wrist position.
