Evan's spec pass. Choose a plastic replacement that snaps onto the cracked shell. Verify the listing title matches your specific DualSense model.
When your controller hits the floor, the faceplate is usually the first thing to shatter. This page lists nine Amazon options for a PS5 controller faceplate that you can swap in without replacing the whole unit.
Look at the product photo to see the exact color and texture. The title should confirm it is for the PS5 DualSense, not a generic shell.

How Evan reads a spec sheet hiding in a title
If the title will not say USB 3, watts, or port count, it does not make my short list.
- Connector and speed are visible in the Amazon title.
- Photo is from that listing.
- No mystery ‘universal’ hub with no port list.
- Rating is public when Amazon shows one.
Open the listing and count ports before you buy. I do not run a silicon lab here.
01 Replacement Shell Kit for PS5 Controller, Faceplate, Touchpad &…
| Kind | PS5 controller faceplate |
| Stars | 5.0 |
| Price | $25.99 |
| Page | Open the Amazon listing |
This kit includes the faceplate, touchpad, and buttons for a PS5 controller, designed to replace the front assembly after a hard drop. The listing specifies it is a complete shell kit rather than a single piece, which matters when the impact cracks multiple components simultaneously.
Check the photo to confirm the button layout matches your specific controller revision, as the kit includes the touchpad and buttons that often shatter alongside the faceplate. Look for the alignment of the D-pad and action buttons in the image to ensure they fit your internal frame without forcing.

In the product photo, verify that the touchpad surface is intact and that the screw holes align with the standard PS5 controller chassis. Since this is a top shell, ensure the image shows the full width of the faceplate to confirm it covers the area where cracks typically spread from the center.

Look at the photo to see the curvature of the back shell and confirm it matches the ergonomic shape of your controller. Since this is a bottom shell, check the image for the battery compartment cutout to ensure it fits your specific controller model without obstructing the battery access.

Examine the photo to see the placement of the vents and ensure they do not interfere with the touchpad or button functionality. Confirm that the two covers shown in the image are identical in shape and size, as the listing specifies compatibility with the Slim Digital Edition model.
